Wheelchair User with Muscular Dystrophy Sets Overall World Record with a 257!

Timo Toivonen has become the top dynamic wheelchair bowler in the world with a mighty impressive 257 single-game record score. Timo, a 27-year-old man with spinal muscular atrophy (a form of muscular dystrophy), bowled the game during a tournament in his native Finland, as part of a six-game series totaling 1101 pins (183.5 average).

Timo bowls in a league using a "homemade" dynamic bowling ramp which is officially approved by the Finnish Bowling Association. Here is a Youtube video of him bowling his eighth strike of his record game:

As you might imagine, Timo was all smiles after breaking the overall world record and record for males with muscular dystrophy, as he posed here with his scoresheet (before it was verified with two witness signatures) and the bowling ball he used, a 15 lb. Ebonite Honor:
